Custom paver installations built to handle Florida heat, rain and everyday life — driveways, patios, walkways and pool decks.
A paver installation starts below the surface. We excavate to the proper depth, compact a solid aggregate base, and set each paver by hand over a leveled bed of sand — with edge restraints locked in to keep the whole layout from shifting over time. It's this base work, more than the pavers themselves, that determines whether a driveway or patio holds up to Central Florida's heat, heavy rain and shifting soil.
Once the pavers are set, we sweep polymeric sand into the joints to lock everything together and discourage weeds, then compact the whole surface for a tight, finished look. Unlike a poured concrete slab, a paver surface never needs to be jackhammered out over a crack — individual pavers can simply be lifted and replaced, which is one of the reasons homeowners choose pavers for driveways, patios, walkways and pool decks.

Pavers are individual interlocking units set over a compacted base, while concrete is poured as one continuous slab. Pavers flex slightly with the ground instead of cracking, and if one paver ever gets damaged or stained, it can be lifted and replaced without redoing the whole surface.
Sealing isn't required, but it's recommended — it enhances the color, makes the surface easier to clean and helps protect against stains and weed growth in the joints. We can talk through sealing options as part of your quote.
